Rod Fritz  President

Committee Meetings: 1st Tuesday of each month. 6:15pm

Board Meetings: 3rd Tuesday of each month. 7:00pm

North Boone Fire District #3, Main St, Caledonia

Moving On . . .

The village has been busy! Following the tornado, contractors are a familiar site in the village. One home, on Caledonia Road, is under construction after being raised to the ground. Other homes are being resided, re-roofed, and many others have had more minor repairs completed: railings replaced, windows, shutters etc. The village is beginning to look whole once more, thanks to lots of hard work and the efforts of home owners.

The Board has been busy! Recently, the Board voted to approve Mor Agra's request for us to vacate the part of Randolph Street that runs through Mor Agra. This will allow the company to expand its operation. This part of the street had not been used for many years.

The Board also formed a committee to help plan the village's next community event. Trustee, Mike Pfaffinger and Village Clerk, Sue Pfaffinger, volunteered to chair the committee. Stay tuned to hear about their ideas! Thanks, Mike and Sue!

The President and Trustees are eager to make village business transparent and to improve efficiency whenever there is an opportunity to do so. One of the areas for improvement is Village Permits, Fees and Inspections. Reconciling information from these three areas has sometimes been complicated. The Board plans to design a form which will make tracking the permits, fees and inspections much simpler. Trustee Rae Duncan volunteered to design the form template. Thanks, Rae!

President, Rod Fritz, applied again this year for a Community Garden Grant, and his application was successful! Thanks to Rod for all of his work and time on this activity. The Community Garden will soon begin its 2nd year! Trustee, Marcia Miller, has offered to help lead the Garden Project this year. Thanks, Marcia!

The President and Board would like to welcome Steve Barrack as a new Trustee. Steve was a write-in at the recent election. Thanks, Steve!
